Ross County Match Preview | May 2025

Dundee vs Ross County

14/5/25

7:45pm kick-off

William Hill Premiership

The Scot Foam Stadium

Ross County come to The Scot Foam Stadium on Wednesday nights as the sides meet in the penultimate league match of the season. Dundee, Ross County and St Johnstone are the three teams left fighting to secure their Premiership status for next season. Dundee know that a win on Wednesday night will mean a third season in a row in the Premiership. Ross County know that a win will see them move out of the relegation play-off position and jump Dundee into 10th position, putting them in the driving seat ahead of the last game of the season. County are looking to avoid the play-offs for a third season in a row. Both teams want to avoid the relegation play-off position but will be aware that a St Johnstone win on Wednesday night at Tynecastle could see them close the gap on the team that drops points in this match, as St Johnstone look to get off the bottom of the table. The gap narrowed at the weekend when St Johnstone beat Ross County in Perth with a 2-1 victory. Despite fighting to the end Dundee were unable to take anything from their match against Kilmarnock with the Ayrshire side winning 3-2. Both sides will be wanting to get back to winning ways on Wednesday night and will know how important three points would be. This will be the fourth meeting of the sides this season and it’s Ross County who have had the upper hand in the previous three fixtures, winning all three. They have won 2-0, 0-3, & 3-1 this season with the last meeting in Dingwall at the end of February. Dundee will know that Wednesday night would be the perfect time to get their first win of the season against Ross County. Dundee’s last win against County was at Dens last February when a Scott Tiffoney double secured a 2-0 win for the Dee.
